Two killer compilations!

After four hours last night listening to bad student electro, ill-conceived soundtrack work and messy hiphop beats looped at just at the wrong place, I am now free from lecturing for another six weeks and can start to write posts for growing piles of vinyl that I've spent too much money on ...

But in the meantime I have two killer comps to recommend to you ...

Blackclassical and Monohub's Blue Note @ 70 mix celebrates 70 years of the label by jamming 42 classic tracks into 80 minutes. This is no simple comp, but rather the usual artfully composed mix that is recommended no matter how many of the tracks you might have! Blue Note themselves have OK'd it and think it's cool, so you should get over to Blackclassical and grab it. Don't be a blogkiller, remember to leave a comment ...

Exhibit #2 is E-Mile's "Summertime 2009", his ultimate tribute to the song "Summertime", especially for you a-holes in the northern hemisphere enjoying the warm days, damn you! There are no less than 72 different versions included which should carry you through to the winter, so get your summertime goods here and don't forget the 28 bonus versions to round out the century. And while you're there, wish E-Mile well as he recovers from his burns injuries!

Simon, my man, another zillion thanx for the plug, and everyone concerned bout me gettin fried, I'm about to look as good as I did before (99% I hope) so there's lot's of beautiful me to go round left :-)
I hope another 100 versions of the Summertime song will get SOME people happy, I did in gathering them for sure...
To Greg, Reza and all the other GOOD folks: with Sound @ Universe having to close shop I feel a bit dissapointed and sad I sure hope we can continue our musical journeys and conversations someplace else or otherwise!
HEARTFELD.
Simon, good to see you back in the saddle after having to listen to your students misfits (eloquently put) and I sure hope - now matter what - we honest folks can keep up the blog-spirit...
TO ALL CONCERNED:
be happy, be safe, and above all,
be good @ heart & with BIG ears!
Don't let the music die on us...
Peace, E-mile
